About Thrive

Parabens. Pthalates.
Petroleum. Palm Oil.
Propylene glycol.
Endocrine disruptors.

Seems like a lot to worry about, doesn’t it?!

A few years back, when I first had a baby, I started reading ingredient labels on our soaps and lotions. I had always had an instinctive preference for natural over big-brand, but I generally used whatever was on sale and left it at that.

But the more labels I read, the more turned off I was by the cheap, the easy, the mass-produced. I’m no scientist, but I am a mama, and I want to have comfort and confidence in what I put on my children’s skin as well as my own. As an environmentalist I want to feel good about what I’m rinsing down the drain. And as a crafter, I know I can make something with my hands that I can be proud of.

In a quest to find the best possible soap to use on my sweet babies, I developed my own recipe using cold-pressed vegetable oils, steam distilled essential oils, and other natural and botanical additives – many of them straight from the pantry! As the craft evolved into a business we added skin care products and natural deodorant to our collection of products.

Thrive Handcrafts is rooted in love and gratitude. We are a family business – mom, dad, and two beautiful kids.Every item we create is infused with energy and possibility. To us, soap is more than the sum of its parts – it is beautiful, functional, healthy, and even potentially life-saving. We choose the best natural ingredients to create soap that lasts a long time, smells amazing, and makes a beautiful impression.

Our products will never contain animal fats, mineral oil, petroleum products, parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrances or colorants, propylene glycol, or palm oil. Most are vegan and all are vegetarian – the only animal products are milk, silk, beeswax, and honey. We use only essential oils for fragrance and flavor, and natural ingredients such as herbs, coffee, tea, oatmeal, mica, and clay for color.

We are happy to create customthrivebabies items, please just ask!

Hello! I am a St.Pete college resident and interested in soap making for friends and family for the holidays. I was ready to buy all the ingredients and begin however, I was wondering if any locals offer soap making classes. I know one distributor downtown does, however I am interested in organic soap making. Your soap looks absolutely beautiful and I love the ingredients that you use. I am hoping to put together wellness packages for my family and friends.

    Thank you,
